DIY Framed Album Art

Decorate your space with awesome album art

(made with stuff you probably have hanging around your garage)

This idea is not for your coveted Enchanted Tiki Room Record!
use the banged up sleeve from Goodwill because were cutting this thing up

Separate the front from the back of the sleeve with an exacto.
Now get a piece of wood like scrap mdf and cut your wood to the size of the album cover

Use a tacky glue that dries clear to mount your cover to the board.
(you might want to glue more stuff on later, you'll see what I mean)

clamp down the edges, or use a book to hold it flat as it dries

add your hardware to hang.  I used screw eyes and wire.

You can hang it on the wall now, or you can start to have some fun.
Add some trim & paint it.

this is just a square frame I found at Goodwill for $2.
I haven't done anything with it yet.

think outside of the box!
rectangular frames are easier to find than square ones

Add some dimension with paint and stuff like plastic aquarium plants.

this is a piece of wood with a piece of rectangular plexi glass held on by tiny nails at the corners

Put a frame in a frame with some masks and a mirror.
The background is a grass beach mat.

this is just a few of the infinite ways to frame an album cover
